Techniques are provided for securing reference signals. An example method for transmitting a signal based on a validated pseudo random sequence includes determining secure sequence validation information, generating a pseudo random sequence, validating the pseudo random sequence based on the secure sequence information, and transmitting the signal based at least in part on the validated pseudo random sequence.
