LENS ASSEMBLY AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE COMPRISING SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18521098 titled 'LENS ASSEMBLY AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE COMPRISING SAME
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a lens assembly with an image sensor, four lenses, and a band pass filter with specific transmittance properties for different wavelength areas.
- The lens assembly includes an image sensor, at least four lenses arranged along an optical axis, and a band pass filter with specific transmittance properties.
- The band pass filter has a transmittance of 90% to 90% for light in the wavelength area of 800-1000 nm.
- At least one lens is positioned between the band pass filter and the image sensor.
- For light in the wavelength area of 400-700 nm, at least one lens has a transmittance of 0% to 10%, and all lenses have an average transmittance of 0% to 5%.
Potential Applications
The lens assembly could be used in various imaging devices such as cameras, medical imaging equipment, and scientific instruments.
Problems Solved
The lens assembly helps in filtering specific wavelengths of light, improving image quality and reducing unwanted light interference.
Benefits
- Enhanced image quality - Reduced light interference - Precise filtering of specific wavelengths
Potential Commercial Applications
- Surveillance cameras - Medical imaging devices - Scientific instruments
Possible Prior Art
Prior art may include lens assemblies with different types of filters for specific wavelength ranges, but the specific combination of lenses and band pass filter as described in this patent application may be unique.

Original Abstract Submitted
A lens assembly is provided. The lens assembly includes an image sensor, at least four lenses successively arranged along an optical axis from an object side toward the image sensor side, and at least one band pass filter having a transmittance of 90% to 90% with regard to at least some of light in the wavelength area of 800˜1000 nm. At least one of the lenses is disposed between the band pass filter and the image sensor. With regard to light in the wavelength area of 400˜700 nm, at least one of the lenses has a transmittance of 0% to 10%, and all of the lenses have an average transmittance of 0% to 5%.
