METHOD, DEVICE, AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS FOR SECURELY PASSING DATA - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18310366 titled 'METHOD, DEVICE, AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS FOR SECURELY PASSING DATA
Simplified Explanation
The abstract describes a method for passing data securely by allocating a cache area in a trusted execution environment (TEE) and copying data from shared memory to the cache area for a trusted application (TA) to access.
- Secure operating system allocates cache area in TEE for data from client application
- Data is copied from pre-allocated shared memory to cache area by secure operating system
- TA entry is run by secure operating system for TA to obtain data from cache area
Potential Applications
This technology could be applied in secure data transfer between different applications, especially in scenarios where sensitive information needs to be passed securely.
Problems Solved
This method solves the problem of securely passing data between applications without exposing it to potential security threats or unauthorized access.
Benefits
- Enhanced security for data transfer - Protection against unauthorized access - Efficient and reliable data passing mechanism
Potential Commercial Applications
"Secure Data Transfer Technology for Applications"
Possible Prior Art
There may be prior art related to secure data transfer mechanisms or methods for protecting sensitive information during data passing processes.
Unanswered Questions
How does this technology compare to existing data transfer methods in terms of efficiency and security?
This article does not provide a direct comparison between this technology and existing data transfer methods.
What are the potential limitations or drawbacks of implementing this technology in real-world applications?
The article does not address any potential limitations or drawbacks that may arise from implementing this technology in practical scenarios.
Original Abstract Submitted
A method for passing data includes: a secure operating system allocating a cache area in trusted execution environment (TEE) to data in response to a client application (CA) calling a trusted application (TA) entry to pass the data to a TA; the secure operating system copying the data from a pre-allocated shared memory to the cache area; and the secure operating system running the TA entry so that the TA obtains the data from the cache area.
