NETWORK FUNCTION VALIDATION - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18447645 titled 'NETWORK FUNCTION VALIDATION

Simplified Explanation

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to network function validation. The first network device receives, from a second network device, a request including profile information of the second network device to be validated, obtains registered profile information of the second network device from a third network device maintaining a blockchain ledger storing the registered profile information, and validates the profile information of the second network device based on the registered profile information. The validation can be implemented via blockchain, and OAuth is not needed, and for pure consumer can be authorized, in addition information for validation is sufficient.

  • The first network device receives a request for validation from a second network device.
  • The first network device obtains registered profile information of the second network device from a third network device maintaining a blockchain ledger.
  • The first network device validates the profile information of the second network device based on the registered profile information.
  • Validation is done using blockchain technology, eliminating the need for OAuth.
  • The system allows for authorization of pure consumers without additional authentication requirements.
      1. Potential Applications

- Network security - Identity verification - Access control systems

      1. Problems Solved

- Streamlining network function validation - Enhancing security measures - Simplifying authentication processes

      1. Benefits

- Improved network security - Efficient validation process - Reduced authentication complexity
