a foaming cleansing composition includes at least one amphoteric surfactant, which may be selected from cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, cocamidopropyl betaine, cocobetaine, sodium lauroamphoacetate, disodium cocoamphodiacetate, or combinations thereof, at least one anionic surfactant comprising methyl oleoyl taurate, at least one anionic surfactant having a carboxyl group which may be selected from sarcosinates, glycinates, alaninates, glutamates, glycolipids, or combinations thereof, and water. the foaming cleansing composition may be essentially free of added peg-type polymeric thickeners.
