aspects of this disclosure relate to resource mapping schemes. one embodiments is an apparatus including one or more processors coupled to a memory interface, and configure to encode a two part csi that includes information bits of a first uci type and information bits of a second uci type. the first uci type is a harq-ack and the second the second uci type is a sr. the encoded information bits of the first uci type and the second uci type are mapped onto a first physical resource. the first physical resource and a second physical resource are multiplexed in a tdm manner and the first physical resource precedes the second physical resource in a time domain. information bits of the first and second uci types are jointly encoded to respectively generate encoded harq-ack bits and encoded sr bits. the two part csi is output in a pucch.
