ELECTRONIC APPARATUS COMPRISING SOUND RADIATION UNIT - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18105412 titled 'ELECTRONIC APPARATUS COMPRISING SOUND RADIATION UNIT

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes an electronic apparatus with a housing that includes two surfaces facing opposite directions. It also includes a first audio port with a sound hole and a speaker that outputs sound through the sound hole. Additionally, there is a first recess that extends from the audio port, allowing the sound to pass through while the apparatus is being worn.

  • The electronic apparatus has a housing with two surfaces facing opposite directions.
  • It includes a first audio port with a sound hole for sound output.
  • A speaker is arranged inside the housing to output sound through the audio port.
  • A first recess extends from the audio port, allowing the sound to pass through while the apparatus is worn.

Potential Applications

  • Wearable electronic devices with audio output capabilities.
  • Headsets or headphones with improved sound transmission while being worn.
  • Communication devices that can be used in noisy environments.

Problems Solved

  • Improved sound transmission in electronic devices while being worn.
  • Minimizing sound distortion or obstruction caused by the housing or other components.
  • Enhancing the user experience by providing clear and audible sound output.

Benefits

  • Clear and audible sound output from the electronic apparatus.
  • Improved user experience while using the device.
  • Enhanced functionality of wearable electronic devices.

Original Abstract Submitted

An electronic apparatus according to an embodiment may comprise: a housing including a first housing having a first surface facing a first direction and a second housing having a second surface facing a second direction opposite to the first direction; a first audio port having a sound hole formed in the first surface of the housing; a speaker arranged in the housing and configured to output the sound to the outside via the sound hole of the first audio port; and a first recess formed by extending from the first audio port, wherein the first recess extends from the first audio port by a first length to have a first depth and a first width and is configured to form a passage through which the sound output from the speaker moves while the electronic apparatus is worn.
