The key benefits include improved transmission efficiency, enhanced user experience, and better utilization of network resources.

Original Abstract Submitted

This application discloses a multicast service transmission method, a terminal, and a network side device. The multicast service transmission method includes: sending, by a terminal when the terminal is interested in or receives a multicast service, related information of the multicast service to a network side device corresponding to a unicast service. The related information of the multicast service at least includes at least one of capability information of the terminal, carrier feature information of the multicast service, or time domain periodicity information of the multicast service. The time domain periodicity information of the multicast service is used for indicating an effective time domain of the capability information or the carrier feature information of the multicast service.
