WATER INJECTION UNIT AND ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM INCLUDING THE SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18755427 titled 'WATER INJECTION UNIT AND ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM INCLUDING THE SAME

The water injection unit described in the patent application consists of an enclosure with a connection port, a water tank, a gas storage tank, and a controller.

  • The connection port on the outer wall of the enclosure can be connected to a fire-fighting hose or a communication cable.
  • The water tank is connected to the connection port and is located within the enclosure.
  • A gas storage tank is connected to the water tank to supply gas into the water tank.
  • The controller is connected to the connection port and the gas storage tank, detecting fires in the battery container and activating the system to extinguish the fire.

Potential Applications: - Fire suppression systems in battery containers or other enclosed spaces. - Industrial settings where fire safety is a concern. - Emergency response vehicles or equipment.

Problems Solved: - Rapid detection and suppression of fires in enclosed spaces. - Efficient use of gas and water resources for fire suppression.

Benefits: - Enhanced fire safety measures. - Quick response to fire emergencies. - Minimized damage to property and equipment.

Commercial Applications: Title: Advanced Fire Suppression System for Industrial Use This technology can be utilized in manufacturing plants, data centers, and other industrial facilities to enhance fire safety protocols and protect valuable assets.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the controller detect fires in the battery container? 2. What types of gases can be used in the gas storage tank for fire suppression?

Original Abstract Submitted

A water injection unit includes an enclosure including, on at least one outer wall, a connection port connectable to a fire-fighting connection hose or a communication cable, a water tank connected to the connection port and located in the enclosure, a gas storage tank connected to the water tank to supply gas into the water tank, and a controller connected to the connection port and the gas storage tank, and configured to detect whether a fire occurs in the battery container, and allow gas in the gas storage tank to be sprayed into the water tank and allow fire extinguishing water in the water tank to be discharged due to gas pressure.
