Provided in embodiments of the present disclosure are a video processing method and apparatus, a device, and a medium. The method includes: receiving a request for playing a first content item of a target user, the first content item being posted based on a second content item of a first user, the first user being different from the target user; obtaining video data corresponding to the second content item and comment information of the target user on the second content item, the comment information being provided by the target user when posting the first content item based on the second content item; and displaying the obtained video data and the comment information on a play interface in response to the request for playing the first content item, wherein displaying the comment information further comprises displaying an effect.
