The electrode assembly includes a negative electrode plate, a positive electrode plate, and a separator stacked along a first direction, the separator being used to separate the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate; where in a second direction, size of the negative electrode plate is larger than size of the positive electrode plate, and an orthographic projection of the positive electrode plate on a plane in which a surface of the negative electrode plate is located does not extend beyond the negative electrode plate, where the second direction is a width direction of the negative electrode plate, and the first direction is perpendicular to the second direction.
