LIGHT-RECEIVING DEVICE, LIGHT-EMITTING AND LIGHT-RECEIVING APPARATUS, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18682194 titled 'LIGHT-RECEIVING DEVICE, LIGHT-EMITTING AND LIGHT-RECEIVING APPARATUS, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE

The abstract describes a novel light-receiving device with a highly convenient, useful, or reliable design. The device includes a light-receiving layer with an active layer containing a first organic compound with specific characteristics.

  • The light-receiving device features a light-receiving layer with an active layer containing a first organic compound.
  • The first organic compound has an SP value between 9.0 and 11.0 (cal/cm) and specific solubility characteristics.
  • The device is designed to efficiently receive and process light for various applications.

Potential Applications:

  • Solar panels
  • Photodetectors
  • Light sensors

Problems Solved:

  • Enhanced light-receiving efficiency
  • Improved performance in light-sensitive devices

Benefits:

  • Increased energy conversion efficiency
  • Reliable operation in various lighting conditions

Commercial Applications:

  • Renewable energy technology
  • Electronics industry for light-sensitive devices

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the specific SP value of the first organic compound contribute to the device's performance? 2. What sets this light-receiving device apart from existing technologies in the market?

Original Abstract Submitted

A novel light-receiving device that is highly convenient, useful, or reliable is provided. A light-receiving device including a light-receiving layer () between a pair of electrodes () is provided. The light-receiving layer includes an active layer. The active layer includes a first organic compound. An SP value of the first organic compound is greater than or equal to 9.0 [(cal/cm)] and less than or equal to 11.0 [(cal/cm)]. Alternatively, a light-receiving device including a light-receiving layer () between a pair of electrodes () is provided. The light-receiving layer () includes an active layer. The active layer includes a first organic compound. An absolute value of a difference in an SP value between the first organic compound and an oxygen-containing solvent except for alcohol is less than or equal to 1.0 [(cal/cm)].
