CONNECTOR FITTING STRUCTURE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240347972 titled 'CONNECTOR FITTING STRUCTURE

The abstract describes a connector fitting structure comprising a male connector, a female connector, and a restriction member to restrict release of the fitting state. The male connector and female connector have through holes that overlap in the fitting state, while the restriction member includes a lid portion, an insertion portion, and a claw portion to engage with the through hole.

  • Male and female connectors configured to fit each other
  • Restriction member attached to both connectors to restrict release of fitting state
  • Through holes in accommodation portion of male connector and flexible piece of female connector overlap in fitting state
  • Restriction member includes lid portion, insertion portion, and claw portion to engage with through hole

Potential Applications: - Industrial machinery - Automotive industry - Aerospace applications

Problems Solved: - Preventing accidental disconnection of connectors - Ensuring secure and reliable connections

Benefits: - Increased safety and reliability in connector fittings - Easy to use and implement in various industries

Commercial Applications: Title: Secure Connector Fitting Structure for Industrial Machinery This technology can be used in various industries such as automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing for secure and reliable connector fittings, enhancing overall safety and efficiency in operations.

Questions about Connector Fitting Structure: 1. How does the restriction member prevent the release of the fitting state? The restriction member includes a claw portion that engages with the edge of the through hole, securing the connectors in place. 2. What are the potential applications of this connector fitting structure in different industries? This technology can be applied in industrial machinery, automotive, and aerospace industries to ensure secure and reliable connections.

Original Abstract Submitted

a connector fitting structure includes a male connector and a female connector configured to fit each other and a restriction member configured to be attached to the male connector and the female connector in a fitting state to restrict release of the fitting state. each of an accommodation portion of the male connector and a flexible piece of the female connector is formed with through holes configured to overlap each other in the fitting state of the male connector and the female connector. the restriction member includes a lid portion configured to overlap an outer surface of the accommodation portion to cover the through hole, an insertion portion protruding from the lid portion and configured to be inserted into the through holes, and a claw portion protruding from a front end portion of the insertion portion and configured to engage with an edge portion of the through hole.
