Original Abstract Submitted

disclosed is a secondary battery capable of a sufficient pressing force during welding between the terminal and the current collector plate to induce a strong bonding force, the secondary battery including an electrode assembly having first and second electrode tabs exposed on respective sides, a first current collection part electrically coupled to the first electrode tab, and including an edge part welded to the first electrode tab, and a central part, a case accommodating the electrode assembly and the first current collection part, a first cap plate sealing a side opening of the case, a first terminal mechanically and electrically coupled to the first current collection part, and exposed to an exterior of the first cap plate, and a support between the central part of the first current collection part and the electrode assembly, wherein the central part protrudes further toward the first cap plate than the edge part.
