DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18507099 titled 'DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

The abstract describes a display device with a first electrode, a bank with a groove, a light emitting stack, a second electrode, and a reflective layer.

  • First electrode in emission area
  • Bank surrounding emission area with groove
  • Light emitting stack with light emitting layer and first intermediate layer
  • Second electrode on light emitting stack
  • Reflective layer covering at least part of the bank and the groove

Potential Applications: - This technology could be used in various display devices such as televisions, monitors, and smartphones. - It could also be applied in lighting fixtures and signage.

Problems Solved: - Enhances the brightness and efficiency of displays. - Improves the overall quality of images and visuals.

Benefits: - Increased brightness and efficiency. - Enhanced image quality. - Improved display performance.

Commercial Applications: - This technology could be highly beneficial for electronics manufacturers looking to improve the quality of their displays and gain a competitive edge in the market.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the reflective layer contribute to the overall performance of the display device? 2. What are the potential cost implications of implementing this technology in mass-produced devices?

Original Abstract Submitted
