STEERING OF ROAMING ENHANCEMENT DURING REGISTRATION REJECT - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18295507 titled 'STEERING OF ROAMING ENHANCEMENT DURING REGISTRATION REJECT
The abstract of this patent application describes a method for enhancing Steering of Roaming (SoR) during registration reject messages in a communication network.
- Transmit a registration request from a terminal device to an AMF indicating support for SoR update in a registration reject message.
- Receive the registration reject message from the AMF, including a request for acknowledgement, SoR information, and a MAC-I of a home network.
Potential Applications: - Telecommunications networks - Mobile communication systems - Roaming management systems
Problems Solved: - Improving the efficiency of roaming management - Enhancing the user experience during registration processes
Benefits: - Faster and more reliable roaming connections - Better network optimization - Enhanced user satisfaction

Original Abstract Submitted
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media of Steering of Roaming (SoR) enhancement during registration reject. The method comprises transmitting, from a terminal device to an AMF, a registration request at least indicating that a SoR update is supported in a registration reject message, the AMF being associated with a VPLMN on which the terminal device intends to camp; and receiving the registration reject message including a request of acknowledgement, SoR information and a MAC-I of a home network.
