ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240335094 titled 'ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM

Simplified Explanation:

The patent application describes an endoscope with various components such as illuminating lenses, a forceps port, an imaging sensor, an imaging lens, and a measurement auxiliary light head.

  • The endoscope includes an insertion part with an end surface at the distal end.
  • It has illuminating lenses, a forceps port, and an imaging sensor for capturing images of a subject.
  • The imaging lens is aligned with the imaging sensor, and a measurement auxiliary light head radiates light within the imaging range.
  • The illuminating lenses are positioned on two sides of the measurement auxiliary light's optical axis and a line connecting the forceps port and the imaging lens.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Integration of illuminating lenses, forceps port, imaging sensor, imaging lens, and measurement auxiliary light head in an endoscope.
  • Precise alignment of components for optimal imaging and measurement capabilities.

Potential Applications:

  • Medical procedures such as endoscopy, surgery, and diagnostics.
  • Industrial inspections and quality control processes.

Problems Solved:

  • Improved visualization and measurement accuracy in endoscopic procedures.
  • Enhanced functionality and versatility in endoscope design.

Benefits:

  • Enhanced imaging quality for better diagnosis and treatment.
  • Increased efficiency and accuracy in medical and industrial applications.

Original Abstract Submitted

an endoscope includes an insertion part, an end surface provided on a distal end of the insertion part, a plurality of illuminating lenses disposed on the end surface, a forceps port disposed on the end surface, an imaging sensor configured to capture an image of a subject, an imaging lens disposed on the end surface on a same optical path as the imaging sensor, and a measurement auxiliary light head from which measurement auxiliary light is radiated within an imaging range of the image captured by the imaging sensor, the measurement auxiliary light head being disposed on the end surface. when the end surface is viewed from a front, the plurality of illuminating lenses are disposed on two sides of an optical axis of the measurement auxiliary light and are disposed on two sides of a line connecting the forceps port and the imaging lens.
