Autonomous Driving Control Apparatus, System Including The Same, And Method Thereof - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240338024 titled 'Autonomous Driving Control Apparatus, System Including The Same, And Method Thereof

Simplified Explanation: The autonomous driving control apparatus described in the patent application is a system that controls a mobility device to a specified location, gathers image data of vehicles in that location, detects the location and identification information of those vehicles, and calibrates the sensor device based on this data.

  • The apparatus includes a sensor device, communication device, memory storing instructions, and a controller.
  • It controls a mobility device to a specified place and collects image data of at least one vehicle in that place using the sensor device.
  • It detects location information of the vehicles from the image data and receives identification information of each vehicle from a server via the communication device.
  • The sensor device is calibrated based on the location information, identification information, or an error between the two when it exceeds a specified range.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Integration of sensor device, communication device, memory, and controller for autonomous driving control.
  • Collection of image data of vehicles in a specified location.
  • Detection of location and identification information of vehicles.
  • Calibration of sensor device based on location, identification, or error data.

Potential Applications: The technology can be applied in autonomous vehicles, smart transportation systems, and mobility devices for efficient and accurate navigation and control.

Problems Solved: The technology addresses the need for precise location and identification data of vehicles in a specified area for effective autonomous driving control.

Benefits:
