ELECTRONIC DEVICE COMPRISING DIGITIZER AND OPERATING METHOD THEREFOR - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240345692 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE COMPRISING DIGITIZER AND OPERATING METHOD THEREFOR

The abstract describes an electronic device with a foldable design, including a display, digitizer, printed circuit boards, and a processor for detecting an electronic pen's coordinates.

  • The device consists of a first housing and a second housing connected by a hinge, supporting a display and digitizer.
  • Two printed circuit boards are housed in each housing, connected by a flexible printed circuit board structure.
  • The digitizer utilizes electro-magnetic resonance sheets in each housing, with x-axis and y-axis channels for precise input detection.
  • The processor detects the coordinates of an electronic pen near the digitizer for accurate input.
