IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240340466 titled 'IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM

Simplified Explanation: The image processing device described in the patent application can create a delivery image that combines multiple input images captured by different imaging devices. It can switch between different control modes to adjust the display of images in different areas of the screen.

  • The image processing unit generates a delivery image with a main image area and a secondary image area based on input images from multiple imaging devices.
  • The control unit allows for switching between control modes to adjust the display of images in the secondary area.
  • The device enables flexibility in displaying captured images from various events on a single screen.

Potential Applications: 1. Event photography and videography where multiple perspectives need to be combined. 2. Surveillance systems that require monitoring of different areas simultaneously. 3. Video conferencing setups that can display multiple participants from different cameras.

Problems Solved: 1. Integrating images from multiple sources seamlessly. 2. Providing flexibility in displaying images on a single screen. 3. Enhancing user control over image display in different areas.

Benefits: 1. Improved visualization of events from different angles. 2. Enhanced user experience in managing and viewing multiple images. 3. Increased efficiency in monitoring and surveillance applications.

Commercial Applications: The technology can be utilized in event photography, surveillance systems, video conferencing solutions, and other applications requiring the integration of multiple images on a single screen.

Questions about Image Processing Device: 1. How does the device handle the processing of images from different imaging devices? 2. What are the potential limitations of switching between control modes for image display?

Frequently Updated Research: Stay updated on advancements in image processing algorithms and technologies that could enhance the capabilities of the device.

Original Abstract Submitted

an image processing device includes an image processing unit configured to generate a delivery image in which a first area which is a main image area and a second area which is an image area different from the first area are formed in a screen on the basis of a plurality of input images which are images obtained by imaging an event by a plurality of imaging devices. furthermore, the image processing device includes a control unit configured to control the image processing unit such that control in a plurality of switching control modes is capable of being executed when the input images included in the delivery image are switched, and the captured image displayed in the second area is capable of being switched on the basis of any of a plurality of the switching control modes.
