ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING FLEXIBLE DISPLAY AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240329689 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING FLEXIBLE DISPLAY AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SAME
The abstract describes an electronic device with two audio modules positioned on different sides of the housing, a display with a touch sensor panel that moves to expose part of the display, and a processor that corrects audio signals based on the movement of the display.
- The electronic device has a housing with two audio modules on different sides.
- The display includes a touch sensor panel that moves to expose part of the display.
- The processor corrects audio signals based on the movement of the display.
- The processor identifies whether the display moves by sliding or rolling with respect to the housing.
- The audio signal is corrected with respect to the first and second audio modules corresponding to the display being moved.
Potential Applications: - Mobile phones - Tablets - Portable media players
Problems Solved: - Ensuring optimal audio quality when the display is moved - Providing a seamless user experience with audio and display integration
Benefits: - Improved audio performance - Enhanced user interaction with the device - Versatile design for various applications
Commercial Applications: Title: Innovative Audio-Visual Electronic Devices for Enhanced User Experience This technology can be used in smartphones, tablets, and other portable devices to provide users with high-quality audio and a dynamic display experience. The market implications include increased consumer satisfaction and potential for new product development in the electronics industry.
Questions about the technology: 1. How does the processor identify the movement of the display to correct audio signals? The processor uses sensors to detect whether the display moves by sliding or rolling with respect to the housing, allowing it to adjust the audio signals accordingly.
2. What are the main advantages of having two audio modules positioned on different sides of the housing? Having two audio modules positioned on different sides of the housing allows for a more immersive audio experience and better sound distribution, enhancing the overall audio quality of the device.
Original Abstract Submitted
an electronic device may include a housing, a first audio module positioned on a first side surface of the housing and a second audio module positioned on a second side surface of the housing, a display which includes a touch sensor panel, and moves with respect to the housing so at least a part of the display is exposed from the inside of the housing to the front side of the electronic device, and processor operatively connected to the display, wherein the processor is configured to identify whether the display moves by sliding or rolling with respect to the housing to allow at least a part of the display to be exposed, and correct an audio signal with respect to the at least one first audio module and the at least one second audio module corresponding to the display being moved.
