ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING FLEXIBLE DISPLAY AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240329689 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING FLEXIBLE DISPLAY AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SAME

The patent application describes an electronic device with two audio modules and a display that moves with respect to the housing to expose part of the display.

  • The electronic device includes a housing, two audio modules, a display with a touch sensor panel, and a processor.
  • The display moves by sliding or rolling to expose part of it, and the processor corrects the audio signal based on the movement of the display.
  • This innovation allows for improved audio performance based on the position of the display.
  • The technology ensures that the audio signal is optimized according to the location of the display on the device.
  • By dynamically adjusting the audio signal, the device can provide a better audio experience for the user.

Potential Applications: - Smartphones - Tablets - Laptops - Portable media players

Problems Solved: - Ensures optimal audio performance based on the position of the display - Provides a better user experience by adjusting the audio signal accordingly

Benefits: - Improved audio quality - Enhanced user experience - Dynamic audio optimization

Commercial Applications: Title: "Dynamic Audio Optimization Technology for Electronic Devices" This technology can be utilized in various consumer electronic devices to enhance audio performance and user experience. It can be particularly beneficial for companies producing smartphones, tablets, laptops, and portable media players.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the processor identify the movement of the display to correct the audio signal?

The processor uses sensors to detect whether the display is sliding or rolling to adjust the audio signal accordingly.

2. What are the potential market implications of this technology in the consumer electronics industry?

This technology can differentiate products in the market by offering improved audio performance and user experience, potentially increasing sales and customer satisfaction.

Original Abstract Submitted

an electronic device may include a housing, a first audio module positioned on a first side surface of the housing and a second audio module positioned on a second side surface of the housing, a display which includes a touch sensor panel, and moves with respect to the housing so at least a part of the display is exposed from the inside of the housing to the front side of the electronic device, and processor operatively connected to the display, wherein the processor is configured to identify whether the display moves by sliding or rolling with respect to the housing to allow at least a part of the display to be exposed, and correct an audio signal with respect to the at least one first audio module and the at least one second audio module corresponding to the display being moved.
