Multi-User Request-to-Send and Clear-to-Send Framework - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240334485 titled 'Multi-User Request-to-Send and Clear-to-Send Framework
The patent application relates to methods for transmitting and receiving multi-user request-to-send and clear-to-send frames in a wireless communication system. An access point wireless device can establish connections with multiple wireless devices and allocate frequency resource units for transmitting clear-to-send frames.
- Access point wireless device establishes connections with multiple wireless devices
- Transmit multi-user request-to-send frame indicating transmit opportunity duration
- Allocate frequency resource units for clear-to-send frames
- Wireless devices transmit clear-to-send frames on allocated frequency resource units
- Clear-to-send frames indicate partial or full availability for transmit opportunity
Potential Applications: - Wireless communication systems - Multi-user networks - Efficient data transmission in crowded environments
Problems Solved: - Managing multiple device connections - Optimizing frequency resource allocation - Improving data transmission efficiency
Benefits: - Enhanced communication reliability - Increased network capacity - Reduced interference in crowded wireless environments
Commercial Applications: Title: "Enhanced Multi-User Wireless Communication System" This technology can be applied in industries such as telecommunications, IoT, and smart home devices to improve data transmission efficiency and network performance.
Questions about the technology: 1. How does this technology improve the efficiency of data transmission in wireless communication systems? 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing multi-user request-to-send and clear-to-send frames in wireless networks?
Original Abstract Submitted
this disclosure relates to methods for transmitting and receiving multi-user request-to-send and clear-to-send frames in a wireless communication system. an access point wireless device may establish wireless connections with multiple wireless devices. the access point wireless device may transmit a multi-user request-to-send frame to the wireless devices. the multi-user request-to-send frame may indicate a transmit opportunity duration and allocate frequency resource units on which to transmit clear-to-send frames to the wireless devices. the wireless devices may transmit the clear-to-send frames on the allocated frequency resource units. the clear-to-send frames can include an indication of partial or full availability for the transmit opportunity.
