RETRANSMITTING PORTIONS OF A TRANSPORT BLOCK - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18681211 titled 'RETRANSMITTING PORTIONS OF A TRANSPORT BLOCK
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a method for retransmitting portions of a transport block over multiple Transmission Time Intervals (TTIs) based on scheduling grants received by a device.
- Receiving a first scheduling grant that schedules transmission of a transport block on a physical channel over multiple TTIs.
- Receiving information to determine the number of portions of the multiple TTIs and the number of TTIs associated with each portion.
- Receiving a second scheduling grant that indicates at least one portion of the multiple TTIs to be retransmitted.
Key Features and Innovation
- Method for retransmitting portions of a transport block over multiple TTIs.
- Utilizes scheduling grants to determine which portions of the TTIs need to be retransmitted.
Potential Applications
- Wireless communication systems.
- Mobile networks.
- 5G technology.
Problems Solved
- Efficient retransmission of data over multiple TTIs.
- Improved reliability of data transmission in wireless networks.
Benefits
- Enhanced data transmission reliability.
- Optimal utilization of network resources.
- Improved overall network performance.
Commercial Applications
- Telecom companies for improving data transmission efficiency.
- Technology companies developing wireless communication systems.
- Network equipment manufacturers for enhancing network reliability.
Prior Art
There may be prior art related to methods for retransmitting data in wireless communication systems or optimizing data transmission over multiple TTIs.
Frequently Updated Research
Research on improving data transmission efficiency in wireless networks and optimizing retransmission strategies may be relevant to this technology.
Questions about retransmitting portions of a transport block
1. How does the method described in the patent application improve data transmission efficiency over multiple TTIs? 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing this retransmission method in real-world wireless networks?
Original Abstract Submitted
Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for retransmitting portions of a transport block (“TB”). One method includes receiving, at a device, a first scheduling grant that schedules transmission of a TB on a physical channel over multiple TTIs. The method includes receiving information to determine a number of portions of the multiple TTIs, determine a number of TTIs associated with each portion of the number of portions of the multiple TTIs, or a combination thereof. The method includes receiving a second scheduling grant that indicates at least one portion of the number of portions of the multiple TTIs to be retransmitted.
