An input device is a pen-shaped input device, and includes: a rod-shaped housing having a tip end and extending in an axial direction; a pen-tip section that protrudes from the tip end of the housing; a sound source disposed inside the housing; and a cavity having an opening at the tip end and extending along the axial direction of the housing, thus outputting sound generated by the sound source from the opening to outside of the housing.
