SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR CONNECTORS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18732874 titled 'SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR CONNECTORS
The abstract of the patent application describes a circuit with a connector portion that can operate in two different states based on the orientation of the connector when coupled with another connector.
- The circuit includes one or more circuits and a connector portion with a plurality of pins.
- When the connector is coupled in a first orientation, the circuits operate in a first state.
- When the connector is coupled in a second orientation, at least one pin receives a signal causing the circuits to operate in a second state.
- The second state is different from the first state, and the second orientation is different from the first orientation.
Potential Applications: - This technology could be used in electronic devices where different circuit configurations are needed based on the orientation of connectors. - It could be applied in data transfer systems to switch between different modes of operation.
Problems Solved: - Provides a flexible circuit design that can adapt to different connector orientations. - Allows for efficient signal processing based on the orientation of connectors.
Benefits: - Improved functionality and versatility in electronic devices. - Enhanced user experience with seamless switching between circuit states.
Commercial Applications: - This technology could be valuable in the consumer electronics industry for devices that require adaptable circuit configurations. - It may find applications in the telecommunications sector for efficient data transmission.
Questions about the technology: 1. How does the circuit determine the orientation of the connector to switch between states? 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing this technology in mass-produced electronic devices?
Frequently Updated Research: - Stay updated on advancements in connector technology and signal processing methods to enhance the efficiency of this circuit design.
Original Abstract Submitted
A circuit is disclosed having one or more circuits, a connector portion coupled to the one or more circuits, and comprising a plurality of pins. When the connector portion is coupled with a first connector in a first orientation, the one or more circuits are configured to operate in a first state, and when the connector portion is coupled with the first connector in a second orientation, at least one pin of the plurality of pins receives a signal causing the one or more circuits to operate in a second state different from the first state. The second orientation being different from the first orientation.
