PART FASTENING STRUCTURE AND MOUNTING TOOL - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17958510 titled 'PART FASTENING STRUCTURE AND MOUNTING TOOL

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a part fastening structure that uses a bolt and a nut. The bolt has a recessed portion and a thread groove on the head portion side. The nut consists of a first nut member that screws into the thread groove and a second nut member placed on the outer side of the first nut member. The first nut member has a lever that rotates around a parallel rotation shaft.

  • The part fastening structure uses a bolt and nut for fastening.
  • The bolt has a recessed portion and a thread groove on the head portion side.
  • The nut consists of a first nut member and a second nut member.
  • The first nut member is screwed into the thread groove of the bolt.
  • The first nut member has a lever that rotates around a parallel rotation shaft.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Manufacturing and assembly industries where part fastening is required.
  • Automotive, aerospace, and machinery industries where secure fastening is crucial.
  • Construction and infrastructure projects where strong connections are needed.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Simplifies the process of fastening parts using a bolt and nut.
  • Provides a more efficient and user-friendly method for tightening and loosening fasteners.
  • Reduces the risk of over-tightening or under-tightening due to the lever mechanism.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Improved ease of use and ergonomics for operators.
  • Time and cost savings in assembly and maintenance processes.
  • Enhanced safety and reliability of fastened parts.
  • Minimized risk of damage to parts due to over-tightening.

Original Abstract Submitted

A part fastening structure according to the present embodiment is a part fastening structure that fastens a part by using a bolt and a nut. The bolt is provided on a peripheral surface of a shaft portion, and includes a recess portion recessed to a central axis side and a thread groove provided on a head portion side of the recess portion. The nut includes a first nut member that is screwed into the thread groove, and a second nut member that is disposed on an outer peripheral side of the first nut member. The first nut member is provided with a lever that rotates around a rotation shaft extending in a direction parallel to an axial direction of the bolt.
