A display apparatus includes a display panel including a first area, a second area, and a bending area disposed between the first area and the second area, a first adhesive layer disposed on the first area, a cover window disposed on the first adhesive layer, and a bending protection layer disposed on the bending area and a portion of the first area disposed adjacent to the bending area, wherein a portion of the bending protection layer is disposed between the display panel and the first adhesive layer, and the portion of the bending protection layer disposed between the display panel and the first adhesive layer includes an inclined surface.
