BASE STATION ACCESS CONTROL TECHNIQUES FOR INACTIVE DIRECT TRANSMISSION - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17441816 titled 'BASE STATION ACCESS CONTROL TECHNIQUES FOR INACTIVE DIRECT TRANSMISSION
Simplified Explanation
The abstract describes a base station for a wireless communication system. The base station has processors that generate a service configuration signal for a user equipment (UE) associated with it. The service configuration signal indicates the allowed data transmission configurations during the UE's INACTIVE state. The processors also provide the service configuration signal to the UE.
- The base station generates a signal that tells the UE what data transmission configurations are allowed during its INACTIVE state.
- The signal is provided to the UE by the base station.
Potential Applications
- Wireless communication systems
- Mobile networks
- Internet of Things (IoT) devices
Problems Solved
- Efficient management of data transmission configurations during the INACTIVE state of a UE.
- Ensuring that the UE follows the allowed service configurations.
Benefits
- Improved control over data transmission during the INACTIVE state of a UE.
- Enhanced efficiency in managing wireless communication systems.
- Better utilization of network resources.
Original Abstract Submitted
A base station associated with a wireless communication system is disclosed. The base station comprises one or more processors configured to generate a service configuration signal to be provided to a user equipment (UE) associated therewith. In some embodiments, the service configuration signal comprises an indication of one or more service configurations associated with a data transmission that are allowed to be transmitted by the UE during an INACTIVE state of the UE. In some embodiments, the one or more processors is further configured to provide the service configuration signal to the UE.
