RECORDING SELECTIVE METAVERSE COLLABORATION CONTENT - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240323236 titled 'RECORDING SELECTIVE METAVERSE COLLABORATION CONTENT

Simplified Explanation: This patent application describes a method, system, and computer program product for selectively recording metaverse collaboration content based on user-defined contextual boundaries and workflow sequences.

  • Selectively record metaverse collaboration content based on user-defined contextual boundaries and workflow sequences.
  • Receive contextual boundaries from the user, which designate participants and collaboration content to be recorded in the metaverse.
  • Receive a workflow sequence from the user, defining the order of selective recording in the collaborative environment.
  • Record metaverse collaboration content using a recording node sequence based on the workflow sequence.
  • Create a second collaborative environment in the metaverse based on the recorded content.

Potential Applications: This technology can be applied in virtual meetings, online classrooms, virtual events, and other collaborative environments in the metaverse where selective recording of content is desired.

Problems Solved: This technology addresses the need for selective recording of metaverse collaboration content based on user-defined contextual boundaries and workflow sequences, allowing for more efficient and targeted content capture.

Benefits: The benefits of this technology include improved organization of recorded content, enhanced user control over what is recorded, and the ability to create new collaborative environments based on recorded content.

Commercial Applications: Potential commercial applications of this technology include virtual event platforms, online education tools, virtual workspace solutions, and metaverse collaboration software.

Questions about Metaverse Collaboration Content Recording: 1. How does this technology enhance user control over recorded content in the metaverse? 2. What are the potential implications of selectively recording metaverse collaboration content for virtual event organizers?

Frequently Updated Research: There may be ongoing research in the fields of virtual reality, augmented reality, and metaverse technologies that could impact the development and implementation of this selective recording technology.

Original Abstract Submitted

a computer-implemented method, system and computer program product for selectively recording metaverse collaboration content. contextual boundaries to perform selective recording in a collaborative environment of a metaverse are received from a user. contextual boundaries refer to designations in the collaborative environment, including participants and collaboration content being shared, based on the context of the collaborative environment. in addition to receiving contextual boundaries, a workflow sequence, which defines portions of the contextual boundaries to record, is received from the user. a workflow sequence refers to the order of the selective recording in the collaborative environment of the metaverse. metaverse collaboration content in the collaborative environment is then recorded using a recording node sequence based on the workflow sequence. a second collaborative environment of the metaverse may then be created based on the recorded metaverse collaboration content. in this manner, user-designated metaverse collaboration content in the metaverse may be selectively recorded.
