METHOD AND DEVICE FOR UPLINK CHANNEL TRANSMISSION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240323964 titled 'METHOD AND DEVICE FOR UPLINK CHANNEL TRANSMISSION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

The present disclosure pertains to a 5G or 6G communication system designed to support higher data transmission rates. The method described aims to enhance the coverage of an uplink channel for uplink transmission in a wireless communication system.

  • Receiving PUSCH configuration information from a base station for joint channel estimation using TB processing over multi-slots and DMRS received through multiple PUSCHs.
  • Transmitting at least one PUSCH to the base station based on the received configuration information.
  • Receiving feedback delay information and a PDCCH from the base station, including an HARQ process number corresponding to the transmitted PUSCH.
  • Determining the validity of HARQ-ACK information in the PDCCH based on the PUSCH configuration and feedback delay information.

Potential Applications: - Enhanced uplink transmission in wireless communication systems. - Improved data transmission rates in 5G and future 6G networks.

Problems Solved: - Addressing coverage limitations of uplink channels. - Optimizing joint channel estimation for better data transmission.

Benefits: - Increased reliability and efficiency of uplink transmissions. - Enhanced overall performance of communication systems.

Commercial Applications: Title: Enhanced Uplink Transmission Method for 5G and 6G Communication Systems This technology can be utilized in telecommunications, IoT devices, autonomous vehicles, and smart city infrastructure to improve data transmission rates and network coverage.

Questions about Enhanced Uplink Transmission Method for 5G and 6G Communication Systems: 1. How does this method improve the coverage of uplink channels in wireless communication systems? 2. What are the potential benefits of using TB processing over multi-slots for joint channel estimation in 5G and 6G networks?

Original Abstract Submitted

the present disclosure relates to a 5g or 6g communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. the present disclosure provides a method for improving the coverage of an uplink channel for uplink transmission. a method performed by means of a terminal in a wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, may comprise the steps of: receiving, from a base station, pusch configuration information for joint channel estimation by using transport block (tb) processing over multi-slots (tboms) in which one tb is allocated and transmitted to multiple slots, and a dmrs received through a plurality of puschs; transmitting, to the base station, at least one pusch according to the pusch configuration information; receiving, from the base station, feedback delay information and a pdcch, which includes an harq process number corresponding to the at least one pusch; and determining, on the basis of the pusch configuration information and the feedback delay information, the validity of harq-ack information included in the pdcch.
