CLEANER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THEREOF - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240315506 titled 'CLEANER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THEREOF

The patent application describes a cleaner with a unique controlling method involving a suction part, a suction device, a detection device, and at least one processor.

  • The cleaner includes a suction part that collects dust through suction generated by a suction device.
  • A detection device emits light of a specific wavelength and detects the wavelength of the reflected light to determine the presence of allergen substances in the dust.
  • The processor controls the suction device and detection device, coordinating the emission of light during operation to analyze the dust collected.

Potential Applications: - This technology can be used in household vacuum cleaners to provide users with information about the presence of allergens in their living spaces. - It can also be applied in industrial settings where air quality control is crucial for worker safety.

Problems Solved: - The technology addresses the need for a more efficient and informative cleaning method by detecting allergen substances in the dust being collected. - It helps users make informed decisions about their cleaning routines based on the presence of allergens in their environment.

Benefits: - Users can have a better understanding of the cleanliness of their surroundings and take appropriate actions to improve air quality. - The technology promotes a healthier living or working environment by identifying potential allergens that may be present.

Commercial Applications: "Smart Allergen Detection Vacuum Cleaner Technology: Improving Indoor Air Quality and Health"

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the detection device determine the presence of allergen substances in the dust? - The detection device emits light of a predetermined wavelength and analyzes the reflected light to detect allergen substances. 2. What are the potential implications of using this technology in industrial settings? - The technology can enhance workplace safety by providing real-time information about allergen levels in the environment.

Original Abstract Submitted

the disclosure provides a cleaner and a controlling method thereof. a cleaner according to an embodiment of the disclosure includes a suction part, a suction device which generates airflow such that dust is suctioned through the suction part, a detection device which is arranged on one side of the suction part, and emits a light of a predetermined wavelength, and detects a wavelength of a partial light emitted, and at least one processor which controls the suction device, wherein the at least one processor is configured to control the detection device to emit a light of a predetermined wavelength during an operation of the suction device, and detect whether allergen substances exist in the dust suctioned through the suction part based on a wavelength of a reflective light detected in the detection device.
