in accordance with some implementations, a method includes: displaying, on a display, a representation of a media object according to a first resource utilization value. the first resource utilization value characterizes a utilization of a respective resource by the electronic device. the method includes, while displaying the representation of the media object according to the first resource utilization value, detecting a first depth between the representation of the media object and the electronic device. the method includes changing the utilization of the respective resource from the first resource utilization value to a second resource utilization value based on determining a change from the first depth to a second depth.
