PRINTING APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18602133 titled 'PRINTING APPARATUS

The abstract describes a patent application for a system where a waste liquid container is held in a printing apparatus, with a liquid supply tube overlapping the waste liquid container region but spaced apart from it. A discharge portion with a movable nozzle is provided for discharging waste liquid.

  • Waste liquid container held in a printing apparatus
  • Liquid supply tube overlaps waste liquid container region but is spaced apart
  • Discharge portion with movable nozzle for discharging waste liquid

Potential Applications: - Printing industry - Industrial machinery - Waste management systems

Problems Solved: - Efficient waste liquid disposal in printing apparatus - Preventing contamination from waste liquid

Benefits: - Improved cleanliness and efficiency in printing processes - Reduced risk of spills and contamination

Commercial Applications: Title: "Innovative Waste Liquid Disposal System for Printing Apparatus" This technology can be utilized in various industries such as printing, manufacturing, and waste management, offering improved waste liquid disposal solutions and enhancing operational efficiency.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does this waste liquid disposal system improve the overall cleanliness of printing apparatus? - This system ensures efficient and controlled disposal of waste liquid, reducing the risk of spills and contamination in the printing environment. 2. What are the key advantages of having a movable discharge portion with a nozzle in this system? - The movable nozzle allows for precise and targeted discharge of waste liquid, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the disposal process.

Original Abstract Submitted

A holding portion holding a waste liquid container is disposed at a position at which a waste liquid container region overlapping the waste liquid container in a region inside a printing apparatus and a movement path of a carriage overlap when viewed from a transport direction, above a transport path and downstream of the movement path of the carriage in the transport direction, a liquid supply tube overlaps the waste liquid container region when viewed from the transport direction, the waste liquid container region is spaced apart from the liquid supply tube, and a discharge portion including a nozzle in which a discharge port for discharging the waste liquid is formed is provided to be movable relative to the holding portion.
