DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18671728 titled 'DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation:

This patent application describes a method for data transmission and a communication apparatus that involves receiving identifiers from a core network element to indicate different quality of service data flows, mapping these data flows to specific network resources, and sending them to a terminal device with specific timing parameters.

  • The method involves receiving identifiers from a core network element to indicate different quality of service data flows.
  • Based on these identifiers and synchronization time parameters, the data flows are mapped to specific access network resources.
  • The mapped data flows are then sent to a terminal device with specific timing requirements.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Method for mapping quality of service data flows to specific network resources.
  • Synchronization time parameters to ensure timely delivery of data flows to terminal devices.

Potential Applications:

This technology can be applied in telecommunications networks to optimize data transmission and ensure quality of service for users.

Problems Solved:

This technology addresses the challenge of efficiently managing and delivering multiple quality of service data flows in a network environment.

Benefits:

  • Improved data transmission efficiency.
  • Enhanced quality of service for users.
  • Optimal resource allocation in network environments.

Commercial Applications:

This technology can be utilized by telecommunications companies to enhance the performance of their networks and improve user experience, leading to increased customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Questions about the Technology: 1. How does this technology improve the overall user experience in telecommunications networks? 2. What are the key factors that determine the successful mapping of data flows to network resources in this method?

Frequently Updated Research:

Ongoing research in this field focuses on further optimizing the mapping of data flows to network resources and enhancing the synchronization mechanisms for timely data delivery.

Original Abstract Submitted

A data transmission method and a communication apparatus are provided. The method includes: receiving a first identifier from a core network element, where the first identifier indicates that a first quality of service QoS data flow and a second QoS data flow belong to a first data unit; based on the first identifier and a first synchronization time parameter, mapping the first QoS data flow and the second QoS data flow respectively to a first access network resource and a second access network resource and sending the first QoS data flow and the second QoS data flow to a terminal device, where the first synchronization time parameter indicates a maximum interval between a moment at which sending of the first QoS data flow is completed and a moment at which sending of the second QoS data flow is completed.
