WEARABLE DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING INFORMATION PROCESSING PROGRAM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18665675 titled 'WEARABLE DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING INFORMATION PROCESSING PROGRAM

The camera captures the user's visual field, while the controller processes the image to recognize a package and the user's hand. It determines if the user is about to carry the package based on their position relative to each other, and identifies the package ID if the user is in that state. The controller then receives delivery information for the package, generates alert information for the user based on this data, and presents it to the user.

  • Camera captures user's visual field
  • Controller processes image to recognize package and user's hand
  • Determines if user is about to carry package based on their position
  • Identifies package ID if user is in that state
  • Receives delivery information for the package and generates alert information for the user

Potential Applications: - Package delivery services - Inventory management systems - Smart home technology

Problems Solved: - Efficient package handling - Enhanced user experience - Improved delivery management

Benefits: - Streamlined package recognition - Real-time delivery updates - Enhanced user convenience

Commercial Applications: Title: Smart Package Recognition System for Enhanced Delivery Management This technology can be utilized by logistics companies, e-commerce platforms, and smart home device manufacturers to improve package handling and delivery processes. It can enhance customer satisfaction and streamline operations in various industries.

Questions about Smart Package Recognition System: 1. How does this technology improve package delivery efficiency? This technology streamlines package recognition and delivery management processes, leading to faster and more accurate deliveries.

2. What are the potential applications of this system beyond package delivery? This system can also be used for inventory management in warehouses, tracking items in retail stores, and enhancing security systems.

Original Abstract Submitted

The camera photographs a visual field of the user. The controller acquires an image captured by the camera, recognizes, through image recognition processing, a package that is a work target of the user and a hand of the user from the acquired image, determines whether or not the user is in a state of being about to carry a package based on a positional relationship between the recognized package and the recognized hand, and recognizes, through image recognition processing, a package ID from the acquired image in a case where it is determined that the user is in a state of being about to carry the package. The communication part receives delivery information regarding the package corresponding to the package ID from a delivery management server. The controller generates, based on the delivery information, alert information to be presented to the user, and outputs the generated alert information.
