GENERATING AND DETERMINING ADDITIONAL CONTENT AND PRODUCTS BASED ON PRODUCT-TOKENS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18120405 titled 'GENERATING AND DETERMINING ADDITIONAL CONTENT AND PRODUCTS BASED ON PRODUCT-TOKENS
The abstract of this patent application describes a computer-implemented method that involves using a client application on a user device to receive a digital image of a physical object, generating a GTIF product-token associated with the image, and determining if it matches a specific pair of GTIF product-token pairs. If a match is found, additional content based on the pair is displayed on the user device.
- The method involves using a client application on a user device to process digital images of physical objects.
- A GTIF product-token is generated for each digital image, allowing for unique identification.
- The system checks if the GTIF product-token matches a specific pair from a set of GTIF product-token pairs.
- If a match is found, additional content related to the pair is determined and displayed on the user device.
- This technology enables enhanced user experiences by providing relevant additional content based on identified physical objects.
- Potential Applications
This technology could be applied in retail settings for interactive product displays, in museums for providing detailed information on exhibits, and in educational settings for interactive learning experiences.
- Problems Solved
This technology addresses the challenge of seamlessly connecting physical objects with digital content, enhancing user engagement and interaction.
- Benefits
- Improved user experience through interactive content - Enhanced information delivery related to physical objects - Increased engagement and interaction with digital content
- Commercial Applications
Interactive retail displays, museum exhibits, educational tools, and augmented reality applications could benefit from this technology by providing users with additional relevant content based on physical objects.
- Prior Art
Prior art related to this technology may include patents or research on image recognition, augmented reality, and interactive digital content delivery systems.
- Frequently Updated Research
Research on image recognition algorithms, user interaction with augmented reality applications, and content delivery systems may be relevant to the ongoing development of this technology.
- Questions about Image Recognition:
1. How does the system determine if a GTIF product-token matches a specific pair? 2. What are the potential privacy implications of using image recognition technology in this context?
By providing a detailed summary of the abstract, key features, potential applications, problems solved, benefits, commercial applications, prior art, frequently updated research, and relevant questions, this article offers a comprehensive overview of the technology described in the patent application.
Original Abstract Submitted
In some embodiments, a computer-implemented method comprises: using a client application executing on a user device, receiving a digital image of a physical object; generating, by the client application, a particular GTIF product-token associated with the digital image of the physical object; determining whether the particular GTIF product-token, associated with the digital image, matches a particular pair of a set of GTIF product-token pairs; wherein the set of GTIF product-token pairs comprises one or more of: a pair comprising a known GTIF product-token and a location data determined for a location of a user device, or others; in response to determining that the particular GTIF product-token matches the particular pair, determining particular additional content based on the particular pair, and displaying the particular additional content on the user device.
