INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CALLING - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240314235 titled 'INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CALLING

The patent application describes an information processing apparatus that can identify a building and the position of a visitor's terminal, determine if the visitor's terminal is within a certain range of the building, and transmit image data to call a dweller's terminal when the visitor is within range.

  • Receiver receives identification and position information from visitor's terminal
  • Controller determines if visitor's terminal is within predetermined range of the building
  • Transmitter sends image data to call dweller's terminal when visitor is within range

Potential Applications: - Visitor management systems in residential or commercial buildings - Security systems for controlled access to buildings - Remote communication between visitors and dwellers in buildings

Problems Solved: - Efficient communication between visitors and dwellers in buildings - Enhanced security by verifying visitor's proximity to the building

Benefits: - Improved visitor experience with streamlined communication process - Enhanced security measures for building access control

Commercial Applications: Title: Smart Visitor Management System for Buildings This technology can be used in residential complexes, office buildings, and gated communities to enhance security and streamline visitor management processes. Market implications include increased efficiency in building access control and improved communication between visitors and dwellers.

Prior Art: Prior art related to this technology may include existing visitor management systems, access control systems, and communication devices used in buildings.

Frequently Updated Research: Research related to visitor management systems, access control technologies, and communication protocols in buildings may provide insights into advancements in this field.

Questions about Smart Visitor Management System for Buildings: 1. How does this technology improve security measures in buildings? - This technology enhances security by verifying the proximity of visitors to the building before allowing communication with dwellers. 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing this system in different types of buildings? - Implementing this system may require integration with existing access control systems and communication networks, which could pose challenges in compatibility and scalability.

Original Abstract Submitted

an information processing apparatus includes a receiver configured to receive, from a terminal of a visitor, identification information for identifying a building and position information of the terminal of the visitor, a controller configured to determine whether the terminal of the visitor is positioned within a predetermined range from the building based on position information of the building related to the identification information and the position information of the terminal of the visitor, and a transmitter configured to transmit, to the terminal of the visitor, first image data for calling a terminal of a dweller of the building, the calling to be performed by the visitor, when the terminal of the visitor is positioned within the predetermined range from the building.
