Data Transmission Method and Apparatus - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18155450 titled 'Data Transmission Method and Apparatus

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes an application that improves data transmission efficiency and reduces system overheads and latency in short-range communication, specifically in a cockpit domain.

  • The method involves configuring a time-frequency resource based on received configuration information from a first node.
  • The second node obtains information related to a logical channel, indicating whether segmentation of a data packet on the channel is allowed.
  • The second node then uses the configured time-frequency resource to send data to the first node.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Short-range communication in a cockpit domain.
  • Communication between devices in close proximity.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Improves transmission efficiency.
  • Reduces system overheads and latency.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Enhanced data transmission efficiency.
  • Reduced system overheads and latency.

Original Abstract Submitted

This application provides a data transmission method and an apparatus, and relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to short-range communication, for example, a cockpit domain. This improves transmission efficiency and reduces system overheads and a latency. The method includes: A second node receives first configuration information from a first node. The first configuration information is used to configure a first time-frequency resource. The second node obtains first information corresponding to a first logical channel, where the first information is used to indicate whether segmentation of a data packet on the first logical channel is allowed, the first logical channel corresponds to a second time-frequency resource, and the second time-frequency resource is included in the first time-frequency resource. The second node sends first data to the first node by using the first time-frequency resource. This application is applied to data transmission.
