DISPLAY DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240295901 titled 'DISPLAY DEVICE

The abstract describes a display device with multiple color filters and transparent regions. The second color filter has edges in different directions, with the first and third color filters adjacent to these edges. The color filters are surrounded by transparent regions that are larger in area.

  • Display device with multiple color filters and transparent regions
  • Second color filter with edges in different directions
  • First and third color filters adjacent to edges of second color filter
  • Transparent regions surrounding color filters are larger in area

Potential Applications: - High-quality color display screens - Improved color accuracy in electronic devices - Enhanced image and video quality in digital displays

Problems Solved: - Color distortion in display devices - Limited color range in traditional screens - Poor image quality due to color filter limitations

Benefits: - Crisp and vibrant colors on screens - Accurate color reproduction in images and videos - Enhanced visual experience for users

Commercial Applications: Title: Advanced Color Display Technology for Electronic Devices This technology can be used in smartphones, tablets, TVs, and monitors to provide users with a superior viewing experience. It can also be integrated into digital cameras and other imaging devices to improve color accuracy in photos and videos.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does this display device improve color accuracy compared to traditional screens? 2. What are the potential cost implications of implementing this technology in electronic devices?

Original Abstract Submitted

a display device includes first color filter, a second color filter, a third color filter, a first transparent region, a second transparent region, a third transparent region and a fourth transparent region. the second color filter has a first edge extending along a first direction and a second edge extending along a second direction. the first color filter is disposed adjacent to the first edge, and the third color filter is disposed adjacent to the second edge. the first color filter, the second color filter and third color filter are surrounding by the first transparent region, the second transparent region, the third transparent region and the fourth transparent region. areas of the first transparent region, the second transparent region, the third transparent region and the fourth transparent region are greater than areas of the first color filter, the second color filter and the third color filter.
