LIQUID DISCHARGING APPARATUS AND LIQUID ACCOMMODATING DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240286413 titled 'LIQUID DISCHARGING APPARATUS AND LIQUID ACCOMMODATING DEVICE

The liquid discharging apparatus described in the patent application includes an accommodating container that holds conductive liquid, two electrodes, a detection portion, and a liquid discharging head.

  • The first electrode and the second electrode are used to detect the remaining amount of liquid in the container.
  • The first electrode has two parts with different distances to the second electrode, allowing for accurate measurement of the liquid level.
  • The liquid discharging head releases the liquid from the container as needed.

Potential Applications:

  • This technology can be used in inkjet printers to accurately measure and control the ink level.
  • It can also be applied in medical devices for precise liquid dispensing.

Problems Solved:

  • Ensures accurate detection and control of liquid levels in various applications.
  • Prevents wastage of liquid by providing precise measurements.

Benefits:

  • Improved efficiency in liquid management.
  • Cost-effective solution for liquid dispensing systems.

Commercial Applications:

  • Inkjet printers, medical devices, industrial liquid dispensing systems.

Questions about the Technology: 1. How does the liquid discharging head work in conjunction with the electrodes to control liquid levels? 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing this technology in different liquid management systems?

Frequently Updated Research: There may be ongoing research in the field of liquid level detection and control systems that could impact the development of this technology. Researchers are constantly looking for ways to improve accuracy and efficiency in liquid management systems.

Original Abstract Submitted

a liquid discharging apparatus includes an accommodating container accommodating conductive liquid, a first electrode accommodated in the accommodating container, a second electrode accommodated in the accommodating container, a detection portion that is electrically coupled to the first electrode and the second electrode and that detects a remaining amount of the liquid accommodated in the accommodating container in response to an electric signal from at least one of the first electrode and the second electrode, and a liquid discharging head discharging the liquid that is supplied from the accommodating container, in which the first electrode includes a first part where a distance between the first part and the second electrode is a first distance, and a second part where a distance between the second part and the second electrode is a second distance that is longer than the first distance.
