MAGNETIC RESONANCE COIL DEVICE COMPRISING A FLEXIBLE ARRAY WITH MULTIPLE MAGNETIC RESONANCE RECEIVE COILS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18290308 titled 'MAGNETIC RESONANCE COIL DEVICE COMPRISING A FLEXIBLE ARRAY WITH MULTIPLE MAGNETIC RESONANCE RECEIVE COILS

The invention is a magnetic resonance coil device with a flexible array containing multiple receive coils. This device is designed for receiving magnetic resonance radiofrequency signals in a magnetic resonance system. The device includes an array with receive coils positioned between two flexible outer layers. Some of the receive coils overlap with neighboring coils, creating overlapping regions where spacers are placed. This design allows the device to adapt easily to different parts of the human body.

  • The magnetic resonance coil device has a flexible array with multiple receive coils.
  • Receive coils are positioned between two outer layers, with some overlapping to create overlapping regions.
  • Spacers are placed in the overlapping regions to maintain the coil positions.
  • At least one of the outer layers is flexible, allowing the device to conform to various body shapes.
  • The device can be easily adapted to different parts of the human body due to its flexible design.
