DETECTION CIRCUIT AND POWER SUPPLY CONTROL DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18247149 titled 'DETECTION CIRCUIT AND POWER SUPPLY CONTROL DEVICE

The abstract of the patent application describes a second detection circuit that outputs a current corresponding to a circuit voltage between an input terminal of a second FET and ground of a second drive circuit. The circuit resistor receives this current output, and the second detection circuit outputs a voltage across the resistor. The voltage between the ground of the second drive circuit and a downstream end of the circuit resistor is higher than 0V.

  • The second detection circuit outputs a current to a circuit resistor based on the circuit voltage between the input terminal of the second FET and ground of the second drive circuit.
  • A voltage is generated across the circuit resistor by the current output from the current output device.
  • The voltage between the ground of the second drive circuit and a downstream end of the circuit resistor is maintained above 0V.

Original Abstract Submitted

In a second detection circuit, a current output device outputs, to a circuit resistor, a current corresponding to a circuit voltage between an input terminal of a second FET to which a current is input and ground of a second drive circuit that switches the second FET ON or OFF. The second detection circuit outputs a voltage between two ends of the circuit resistor. A voltage between the ground of the second drive circuit and a downstream end of the circuit resistor is higher than 0 V.
