ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD OF MEASURING BLUR INFORMATION THEREOF - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18384914 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD OF MEASURING BLUR INFORMATION THEREOF
The patent application describes an electronic device with a display module, an optical sensing module, a protective film, and a control module.
- The display module has a display area for showing images and a peripheral area around it.
- The optical sensing module is located under the display module to receive optical signals.
- A protective film is placed on the display module to protect it.
- The control module includes a blur-measuring unit that compares images before and after the protective film is attached to calculate blur information.
Potential Applications: - This technology could be used in smartphones, tablets, and other electronic devices with displays. - It can improve the visual quality of images and videos displayed on the screen.
Problems Solved: - The technology helps reduce blur on the display caused by the protective film. - It enhances the overall user experience by providing clearer images.
Benefits: - Improved image quality on electronic devices. - Enhanced user experience with sharper visuals. - Protection for the display module from scratches and damage.
Commercial Applications: Title: Enhanced Display Technology for Electronic Devices This technology can be applied in the consumer electronics industry to improve the display quality of smartphones, tablets, and other devices. It can attract customers looking for devices with better image clarity and protection for their screens.
Questions about the technology: 1. How does the blur-measuring unit in the control module work to calculate blur information?
The blur-measuring unit compares images before and after the protective film is attached to determine the level of blur present in the displayed images.
2. What are the potential implications of this technology for the future of display technology in electronic devices?
This technology could lead to advancements in display quality and user experience, setting new standards for visual clarity in electronic devices.
Original Abstract Submitted
An electronic device includes a display module, an optical sensing module, a protective film, and a control module. The display module includes a display area, through which an image is displayed, and a peripheral area defined adjacent to the display area. The optical sensing module is disposed under the display module and receives an optical signal via the display module. The protective film is disposed on the display module. The control module includes a blur-measuring unit which compares a first image obtained using the optical sensing module before the protective film is attached to the display module with a second image obtained using the optical sensing module after the protective film is attached to the display module to calculate blur information included in the second image.
