techniques for a decentralized autonomous organization (dao) platform that decentralizes generation of a financial report for cost basis operations. in one embodiment, the dao platform may include one or more smart contracts that can define rules for filtering source or external data, processing of the external data to generate financial reports, storing of the financial reports in a blockchain, and/or authorizing a subscriber or an entity to access the financial reports. in this embodiment, subscriber approved one or more smart contracts may be leveraged to generate the financial reports that can be used by the subscriber or third parties such as a banking institution, tax agency, and the like.
