This abstract describes a method for wireless communication between two user equipment (UE) devices. The first UE receives a configuration from a network entity, which specifies certain resources for measuring cross link interference (CLI) between the first UE and a second UE. The first UE then determines the reception quasi co-location (QCL) information of a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state for these measurement resources. Using this information, the first UE measures the CLI on the specified resources and reports the results back to the network entity.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communication by a first user equipment (UE), comprising receiving, from a network entity, a configuration of one or more measurement resources for measuring cross link interference (CLI) between the first UE and a second UE, determining reception quasi co-location (QCL) information of a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state for the measurement resources, measuring CLI on the measurement resources using the reception QCL information, and reporting the CLI to the network entity.
