METHOD FOR GESTURE CONTROL AND RELATED DEVICES - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18354528 titled 'METHOD FOR GESTURE CONTROL AND RELATED DEVICES

Simplified Explanation

This patent application describes a method for gesture control, specifically for controlling a local device's screen interface using hand movements. Here are the key points:

  • The method involves displaying the contents of a first page on the screen interface of a local device.
  • The system detects whether a user performs a gesture action A.
  • If no gesture action A is detected, the system continues to detect for it.
  • When a gesture action A is detected, the system displays gesture information and/or instruction information associated with that gesture action.
  • The system then detects a gesture action B performed by the user.
  • Based on the combination of gesture actions A and B, the system executes a preset operation on the contents of the first page.
  • After executing the operation, the system resets gesture action B and returns to detecting whether gesture action A is performed again.
  • The gesture information provides visualization of the hand movement for gesture action A.
  • The instruction information provides visualization of a reference operation instruction associated with gesture action A.

Original Abstract Submitted

A method for gesture control is provided. Contents of a first page are displayed on a current interface of a screen of a local device. Whether a gesture action A of a user is detected is determined. When no gesture action A is detected, detect the gesture action A. When the gesture action A is detected, display gesture information and/or instruction information associated with the gesture action A, detect a gesture action B of the user, execute a preset operation on the contents of the first page according to the gesture action A and the gesture action B, reset the gesture action B, and return to determining whether the gesture action A of the user is detected, where the gesture information is visualization information of hand movement of the gesture action A, and the instruction information is visualization information of a reference operation instruction associated with the gesture action A
