COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18350932 titled 'COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
Simplified Explanation
This patent application is about a communication method and apparatus that involves activating a secondary carrier in a terminal device based on an activation command received from a network device. The method includes adjusting the Automatic Gain Control (AGC) of the secondary carrier based on the measurement cycle of the terminal device for that carrier.
- The application relates to a communication method and apparatus.
- An activation command is received from a network device to activate a secondary carrier in a terminal device.
- The method determines whether to adjust the AGC of the secondary carrier based on the measurement cycle of the terminal device for that carrier.
- A temporary reference signal is used to adjust the AGC of the secondary carrier.
- The method includes receiving a first temporary reference signal from the secondary carrier.
- Time-frequency synchronization with the secondary carrier is performed based on the first temporary reference signal.
Original Abstract Submitted
This application relates to a communication method and apparatus. An activation command is received from a network device, where the activation command indicates to activate a first secondary carrier, and the first secondary carrier is one of secondary carriers of a terminal device. When the first secondary carrier is known, whether to adjust AGC of the first secondary carrier is determined based on a measurement cycle of the terminal device for the first secondary carrier, where a temporary reference signal is used to adjust the AGC of the first secondary carrier. A first temporary reference signal is received from the first secondary carrier, and time-frequency synchronization with the first secondary carrier is performed based on the first temporary reference signal.
