DEMODULATION REFERENCE SIGNAL SENDING AND RECEIVING METHODS AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

  • This abstract for appeared for US patent application number 18343809 Titled 'DEMODULATION REFERENCE SIGNAL SENDING AND RECEIVING METHODS AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS'

Simplified Explanation

This application introduces a method for sending and receiving DMRS (Demodulation Reference Signal) and a communication apparatus. The method involves receiving indication information about a scheduled DMRS port and then sending a DMRS on that scheduled port. The scheduled DMRS port is part of a set of DMRS ports, which includes M ports. These M ports correspond to two different time domain positions, referred to as the first and second time domain positions. The DMRS port set for the first time domain position is different from the DMRS port set for the second time domain position. By mapping different DMRS port sets to these two time domain positions, the system can support more orthogonal DMRS ports, leading to an improved system capacity.

Original Abstract Submitted

This application provides a DMRS sending method, a DMRS receiving method, and a communication apparatus. The method includes: receiving indication information indicating a scheduled DMRS port; and sending a DMRS on the scheduled DMRS port. The scheduled DMRS port belongs to a DMRS port set, the DMRS port set includes M DMRS ports, the M DMRS ports correspond to a first time domain position and a second time domain position, and a first DMRS port set corresponding to the first time domain position is different from a second DMRS port set corresponding to the second time domain position. In this way, different DMRS port sets are mapped to the first time domain position and the second time domain position, so that more orthogonal DMRS ports can be supported, thereby improving a system capacity.
