The electronic device may include a display and a processor, wherein the processor may be configured to: identify a first playback section in first media data including first video data and first audio data; identify a second playback section, on the basis of at least one of second audio data and a degree of similarity to a first object included in a first image corresponding to an end point of the first playback section, in second media data including second video data and the second audio data; and display, on the display, a screen according to layback of content including the first playback section and the second playback section.
